Rings
How to measure ring size at home or on your phone
A ring that already fits is the best home reference: measure only the inside and repeat to reduce errors.

Calibrate with a known reference
Veste uses a standard card to calibrate the screen before you align the ring. The result is an estimated BR size, diameter and circumference that you can save in the person's profile.
View VesteWhat to measure on the ring
Choose a ring that feels comfortable on the same finger where the new one will be worn. Matching fingers on the right and left hands can have different sizes.
The useful measurement is the inner diameter: the straight distance between two inner edges through the center. Do not include the metal thickness.
- Use a round ring with no visible deformation.
- Read the measurement in millimeters.
- Repeat two or three times before comparing.
- If the readings differ, measure again with a caliper or confirm with a jeweler.
How to measure a ring that already fits
Place the ring on a flat surface
Keep it still and look straight at the opening without tilting it.
Measure from inner edge to inner edge
Use a millimeter ruler or caliper and measure through the center of the opening.
Compare with the store chart
Use the measured diameter in that jeweler's specific chart, because standards and rounding can vary.
How to use Veste's ring sizer
Calibrate the screen
Choose one of the references offered in the app and adjust the guides until they match its edges.
Align the ring
Place the ring on the screen and resize the circle until it meets the inner edge of the piece.
Check and save
See the estimated BR size, diameter and circumference. Check the jeweler's chart and save the result in the person's profile with a useful note.
The ring sizer does not use the camera. The result is an estimate: check the jeweler's chart before buying. If the screen orientation or size changes, calibrate again.
If you do not have a ring for reference
A flexible measuring tape or a thin paper strip can help estimate finger circumference. Mark where the ends meet without squeezing, check that the strip passes over the knuckle, open it and measure that length in millimeters.
Heat, cold, swelling and knuckle size can change the result. Repeat at another time and confirm with a jeweler when the purchase is expensive, personalized or non-returnable.
Do not convert circumference to ring size with a generic rule. Compare it with the chart supplied by the store or manufacturer.
Before you buy
- Make sure the measured ring fits the same finger and hand.
- Check the jeweler or manufacturer size chart.
- Remember that wide bands can feel tighter.
- Check resizing and returns, especially for personalized pieces.
